I wish that scientists would not talk to reporters about their studies until after they have some idea of what their results actually mean.

It's interesting that daydreaming and Alzheimer's occur in the same area of the brain (though I noticed they never named the area in the article).

My great-aunt was afflicted with Alzheimer's, and I can attest that it appeared that she was in a daydreaming state. So there probably is something to the research, even if the results are not very conclusive at this point.

Also, it's up to the reader to go back to the original study and find out how it was set up and how the results were found. Articles about studies are only a head's-up.
