I hate my internal editor.

She's like the burning, rotating sword,
and all she does is keep my Muse at bay.

This is, shall I say, counterproductive.

I feel the same way sometimes. I find that forgetting about pushing myself to produce and taking a break is sometimes helpful. Either that, or just spitting it out.

That's exactly what I've been doing, pushing myself. Perhaps I've let the pendulum swing too far the other way (for the last three years--minus the last few months--I didn't write at all).

For a writer, is there a happy medium? *sigh*
