I think it's interesting that Yahoo has the electoral count at 254-252, but the television stations are repeating the Republican "projections" and the White House rhetoric that they are "convinced" they've won.

If I hadn't stayed up and watched it with my own eyes, I might not have believed it.

my girlfriend and I are noticing the same thing! Is Yahoo holding on to some partisan hope for a change in numbers? Or are their numbers more accurate and everyone else is wrong?

Lots of messiness at this hour and not a lot of clarity. I guess we'll just have to wait and see...and hope for a miracle?

Bit late for it, but I also noticed while watching it all, that different stations seemed to give very different electoral numbers.
At first I thought it might have to do with getting information at different speeds, media contacts and all.......... but then I noticed the numbers for the popular vote were the same. Straaaaaaange.
It seems though that Yahoo was probably getting seriously flawed info or something, otherwise why would Kerry have condeded? He could have squeezed a +2 vote margin out of there and the remaining states easy.
Of course, all under the assumption that it isnt a complete dog and pony show.
:p
