Never thought I would live to hear THAT...
they always outsell every other fast food place.
Scares me a bit.

yeah, part of the reason i am a vegitarian. its just as bad with the fishing industry. they throw away 15 pounds of sealife that is caught, for every 1 pound of shrimp that we eat, along while destroying reef systems for the aquarium fish you buy.

fast food companies are awful.

I feel this way for different reasons. I was a fast food queen for about three years; I worked at three different Burger Kings, two Hardee's locations, and a Wendy's. Also, my senior seminar in American studies was on the topic of fast food, and my only summer course was an independent study which involved being a participant observer at a fast-food store.

As far as being vegan or vegetarian, I've thought about it. But I know myself; I like meat a lot. I don't have all the hangups about the treatment of animals; this partially goes back to the fact that my grandmother raised chickens and had a garden, so when I was young my food was cruelty-free anyway. I hope to do something similar, especially if I ever found the intentional community I have in the back of my head....

Uh-oh. I might have trashed it without looking at it. My account is a target for spammers, and with random virus-laden mail going around, I generally trash any email with a name I don't recognize.

I'd love to hear anything from you, though. :) littlejosie444@yahoo.com .

for me, a large part of it isnt the issue of animal cruelty. its the fact that we are using up too many resources, and with so many people eating meat, there needs to be a larger balance of non-meat eaters. in nature, large herds of animals are always vegitarians, because that is the only way that such numbers can naturally be supported.

Fish in the deep sea that live to be 150 are being sold in supermarkets, this area, that we have only explored 5% of is already being destroyed. Fast food just furthers this idea, that we can take as much as we want, without ever knowing the costs of it. Add onto this genetically engeneered food. so, when my lease is up, i can now afford to rent a house, and have a garden.
