Divine Sonnet #1
Nov. 17th, 2002 11:52 pmMost High God, YHWH Sabaoth, Parent
of this cosmos, immanent transcendence,
thank You today for spying your servant.
Your grace is everabundant. Love, since
the day of Rest, there existed the Way.
It wound through the Shadow to Your presence.
Bathed by Your transluminent cosmic ray
I unfurl like a morning bloom sprinkled
with glorious dew: open, come what may.
Lord, Your shining sentinels seem instilled
with Your quintessence. But what I perceive
is merely maya; Your face is but revealed
through the darkness, for only that contrast
shows You as both All and Naught, first and last.
