Even if the lie has been exposed for what it is, keep repeating it. Remember, you may not fool all of the people all of the time, but you can fool some of them some of the time.

Saw an item on the news the other night that was at least 5 minutes long (a significant amount of time in an hour-long broadcast).

Scrub. Rinse. Repeat. I seem to remember hearing or reading somewhere that if you say soething enough times, people will start acting as if they believe it's true even though they say that they think it's a lie...
