Jun. 12th, 2004 02:11 pmThe bad news is: Of course my check didn't come today.
The good news: I'll soon be purchasing a car from my next-door neighbor.
It's a 1992 Grand Am, white, 5-speed. There's a little rust but otherwise no body damage. The dash wiggles when the car is in transit; I'll get used to it or bolt it down or something. The air seems to work just fine (I guess I should have tried the heat) and it comes with a nice CD player.
He was asking for $1200, but as I expressed interest, he said he'd be willing to part with it for an even $1000.
So, my check was supposed to come today. I have almost what he's asking for in my checking account, and the check would have made up the difference. So I called him today and told him it might be here Monday or Tuesday. He told me that's okay; he'll hold the car for me.
So, yeah. My bus-riding days are numbered.
