Jun. 2nd, 2004 01:56 pmNo more lunches at Olive Garden: they changed my favorite dish!
Oh, the seafood alfredo, I loved that dish. I remember the first time I ate it, in Des Moines, I didn't know what to expect. Shrimp and crawfish? How very strange. But the flavor grew on me. I came to love those little red fleshy curves.
But I went today and found that my little crawfish had been replaced with what looked like potatoes. I called the server over, who explained that those were scallops (that made sense) and that the menu had indeed been changed to reflect the alteration in the dish. She suggested that I visit the official company website and make a suggestion/complaint, if I felt strongly about it.
I ate what I'd ordered, trying to make the best of it. And I can see why some might like the change. But it's just not to my liking. They just lost a customer who was getting to be a frequent visitor.
