Saturday, my mom and I had tentatively discussed attending church Easter morning. But as she was tipsy and emotional Saturday night, I called our plans off. (Not good having a drunk mama in church, no, no, no.)

I tried sleeping in, but my mom had gospel music blasting through the house at 10 a.m. (I just wanted to sleep until Meet the Press came on. Is that so much to ask?) Later, my mom told me that she attended services at Transfiguration, the Catholic church down the street. I kind of envied her, as I've never been to any Catholic services. But I'm still glad I didn't go with her, because I know she had to have been emotional.

My sister came over and let me know what was going on with her house. (She's in danger of losing it and had asked me to help her keep it, if I could. She took my information and had her bank run my SSN to see if my credit was good enough to be a co-signer [me, a co-signer!]). She told me that the banker looked over my credit record and noticed that I still had student loans out (yeah, I do). My sister seemed to indicate that most or all of that might be taken care of with the loan she'll get from refinancing her house. Let me say that again: my sister might pay for my student loans. I never even considered that as a possibility.

I said goodbye to Delsym yesterday. This week is going to be a rough one.

Hey, that's a good trade. Your credit rating in return for your student loans paid.

That actually is a fair trade. I hadn't even expected a trade; I just expected to bail out my sister (or try to, anyway).

We'll see how things go. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
