novapsycheThe Republicans will have to challenge the neocons. There's no way for liberals to do it, because they'll just paint them as "liberals" (what a slur). No, the conservatives will need to confront their own minority view that happens to wield power. If that power is allowed to continue unchecked, that means that the conservatives have resigned themselves to the neocons' platform.
If this administration survives the vote this year, that's the message the conservatives will send to the neocons.
This is the time to question their politics. This is a small minority trying to pass itself off as being representative of a large part of the populace. Conservatives have to tend to their own values (tradition, and traditionally conservatives have favored smaller government), and they need to do so now.
