Over the last six years I have interviewed many mujahideen, and one of the most chilling things they have told me is that jihad becomes addictive. To support a jihadi habit, nearly any action becomes acceptable, including cooperating with enemy terrorist groups and criminal rings, killing innocent Muslims or attacking friendly forces.

The republican right wing has the same addiction.

Usually, you'd associate militarism with, well.. military people. But the most militant talk is coming from people who've never been shot at.

Well, we just need to start getting people to associate any sort of fanatical belief system with terrorism. Look at Timothy McVeigh, Waco, etc. And the Jerry Falwell types are little different than osama that way.
