I got a thin letter from U of I. Yes, I've been rejected.

That's okay, though. I'll be submitting to the program again. I'm also thinking of the University of Wisconsin's creative writing program (actually, I had that program on the back burner when I realized Iowa's deadline was on a fast approach).

I'm patient. And next year's submission will be more carefully thought out. I'm writing stronger stuff now, anyway.

I've heard that I usually takes more than one time to get in to the writing program at the U of I. So I'm glad you are seeing it as part of the process.

Papa Tony graduated in 1999, I believe. He was a Table person, part of the pagan community, and one of my closest friends at Grinnell period. (Funnily enough, he and I don't have a direct connection in the Amoeba of Love.) He's in IC, part of the Iowa Pagan Access Network. He's cool; you'd probably get along well with him.

I'll shoot him an email. He's huge into gaming. (He ran this great Vampire game my junior year.) So you two already have a lot in common. :)

IPAN is a good community, too. I wish I'd taken more time to get to know the people there.
