I came across The Onion in college, first off. A friend of mine actually had a paper copy. Those are better than the online version, but one makes do with what one has....
I purchased an Onion book about a year and a half ago, called Our Dumb Century, or something like that. It's hilarious, though I still have about ten pages or so before I can claim to have read the whole thing.
And the last time I was in a bookstore, I saw that the publishers have put out another Onion book, so I'll have to put that on my list of stuff to buy.
