I was thinking for a few minutes that it stands out because people will sometimes use it to insultingly refer to a whole person, but "twat" is used the same way, if maybe a little less often. And "pussy" as an insult (which I ever hear on the radio lately) means something entirely different -- strangely, only applied to men. Meanwhile, I don't think I've ever heard the next few slang terms that come to mind used as insults.
