Book list meme; The Big Read says the average adult has read only six of these.

Edit: Apparently there are more rules than I initially understood:

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.

I know, I have a lot of good literature ahead of me. Also, I have only about four or five books of the Old Testament left. And about Little Women: when I read it at age 11, I loved it. When reread at age 19, not so much.

Read and liked: Harry Potter, Dracula, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Shakespeare (King Lear, Henry the 4th and 5th, Macbeth, saw a production of Comedy of Errors), Hitchhiker's Guide, Crime and Punishment, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, Charlotte's Web, Heart of Darkness, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Read and didn't like: Shakespeare (Hamlet, Merchant of Venice), Tess of the D'Urbervilles, Narnia (just The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)

I'm glad to have read 1984, but I can't exactly say I liked it.
I've read the entire old testament four times. The new testament was just too dull.

It'd be nice if the list included a little more variety. FOUR Jane Austen just might be overkill.
