FISA capitulation

Congressman Wexler: "I cannot in good conscience support the so-called FISA 'compromise' bill, as the only thing that is really being compromised is our civil rights."

This is a horrible bill that will allow district courts to throw out suits that the telecom giants would face. Basically, the Dems are hedging their bets that the practice would be overturned in federal court were it heard, but they don't want Average Joe Schmo collecting because his civil rights might have been violated.

Call your representatives tomorrow. The House votes tomorrow.
