But I love the emphasis on play, play is a great way to make learning fun to children. And adults, too.

Not surprisingly, they were almost always lousy students as well.
Um, no. We probably annoyed the hell out of the teacher, but quite a few of us (most?) learned the material just as well as anyone else.

EF comprises not only effortful control and cognitive focus but also working memory and mental flexibility—the ability to adjust to change, to think outside the box.
I think he's presenting this badly by focusing on his own pet peeves. From what I've seen, organization and mental flexibility usually have something of an inverse relationship.

Me not think so, kemo sabe. Tests show executives only have IQ of 125-130. Research scientists have IQs 140 and above. 140 and above cannot understand average people well enough to be able to manage them.

"Academic success?" Do they mean this doesn't refer to success in the real world?
