Brain atrophy in elderly leads to unintended racism, depression and problem gambling -- This is interesting, and I'm not sure how much I agree with the conclusions (or at least this snippet); it makes me wonder how race is coded in the brain--is it analogous to brand names, perhaps?

Vitamin E trials 'fatally flawed' -- "Generations of studies on vitamin E may be largely meaningless, scientists say, because new research has demonstrated that the levels of this micronutrient necessary to reduce oxidative stress are far higher than those that have been commonly used in clinical trials." Something like 1600-3200 I.U., way more than is recommended, even for high end daily use

Natural gas inhabited by unusual specialists: Bacteria with a specific mode of nutrition -- This is very cool.
