One of the things I love about "Charlie Freak" is that it sounds like a Christmas song. Faintly reminiscent of "We Three Kings" in a way, but not really; there're minor chords and sleigh bells. Also, it's in triple meter. Once I realized that, I knew why I'd taken to it so quickly.

Poor man, he showed his hand
So righteous was his need
And me, so wise, I bought his prize
for chicken feed.
