Our government is intent on doing away with habeas corpus in one fell swoop this week.

For some time now, I've been thinking, "A: President can declare anyone at any place and time an enemy combatant, including American citizens; B: this detainee bill strips enemy combatants of the writ of habeas corpus." Not too hard to see where this leads.
