Last Samhain two people undertook a remarkable journey, not knowing where the year would take them.

While the year has had its ups and downs, I have learned so much about my partner and myself in that time, and I would not trade this year for the world.

I was late because I was nice

I meant to be to work on time, but I kept forgetting that I needed to get up early to get a cake.

See, today is my boss' birthday.

Good Night, and Good Luck. is fantastic. Go see it. Now.

This weekend I also saw Night of the Living Dead, the original (okay, I kind of saw it, mostly poked fun at it), All About Eve and Conrack.

I'd seen All About Eve before, but it was especially good the second time. I'd never seen Conrack, and I was astonished. It came out a year before I was born, and was set five years before. And it was based on a true story. Amazing. My own family is from South Carolina!

Local folks: Mirrormask will be at the State next week. I heartily recommend it.
