The poetry group was pretty fun last night. It was nice to be around folks who give deep criticism on such minutiae as word choice and punctuation (or lack thereof). Also, people remembered me and gave me encouraging feedback on "Seeking Seminal Soulmate," a piece I dusted off at the last minute.

I again stayed up too late, trying to watch Countdown. Of course, I dozed during the broadcast. I finally went to bed after 1:00. I honestly don't know if Keith Olbermann said anything about Jeff Gannon, but (to my pleasant surprise) Jon Stewart did.

Speaking of, it's been discovered that Gannon appeared in the White House briefing room before he joined Talon News. But he's not a plant. No, of course not.

Talk about a Freudian slip.

Rumsfeld: "I am not going to give you a number for it because it's not my business to do intelligent work."
