Nov. 22nd, 2004 02:38 pmIt's poetry time!
This week's topic will be a slight extension of last week's, which dealt with voice. Today we will read poems by Ezra Pound, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Robert A. Fink and Marilyn Nelson and examine how they use point of view to effect an authentic voice. Remember also that the writing prompt given last time was to write a poem in the voice of a widow whose husband drowned and who now must confront water in some way.
Please join us! Contact me at novapsyche at livejournal dot com for directions, as the meeting will be held at the residence of one of our members. Also, feel free to email me with any questions.
Hope to see you tonight!
