Oct. 24th, 2004 12:42 pmI absolutely must start packing today.
Oh--my dad and I were approved for a duplex in Ann Arbor. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, $880/mo. Cable jacks in every room. Pet friendly.
Our current lease is up at the end of the month. We haven't begun packing at all. I'll have to reduce my hours at work this week in order to devote some time to this project.
Until I get my address changed at the post office, if anyone needs to send me anything, I'll still have my P.O. Box (P.O. Box 970870, Ypsilanti, MI 48198).
Things are moving in a positive direction. This makes me glad.

Oct. 24th, 2004 10:51 pmHad a nice Sunday. Slept in (I needed it, as I've been running at full tilt for a few days now), rolled over and realized I'd missed Meet the Press. Took a nice luxurious shower (with the new Pantene conditioner). Felt good, but still tired. Called my sister to confirm that we were going to the movies. Took a nap.
Woke up, turned on the TV, found that the Lions were winning. Got online, checked the time for the flick, sent an email to a friend apologizing for not showing up to his get-together last night. Ran through my email, found his number and invited him and his wife to the movie. He called back, said his wife had other plans, but that he'd love to come along. Cool.
Took him and my sister to see What the $#*! Do We Know. There were a lot more people there for the matinee today than for the evening show on Thursday (there were less than ten then). When it concluded, I asked them if they liked it, and they said they did. Which is good--I didn't want to waste anyone's time! :)
Dropped them off (they live in the same general area), came back home. Talked with my mom a little bit about the disagreement we had the other day. I think we've patched some thing up.
Packed some books into boxes. Played some Mindsweeper. Ate some roast beef with potatoes and carrots. Right now I'm listening to Dark Side of the Moon. It's been a good day.

Oct. 24th, 2004 11:41 pmFinding time to pack: Skip the Tuesday writer's group. Take Thursday off completely. Shave an hour or two off each work day.
In the interim, get boxes from Title One and buy durable boxes from Wal-Mart. (Maybe KMart, since they didn't finance the Sinclair broadcasting group.)
Things needed in the next month: twin bed, bookshelves, TV stand, perhaps a desk.
