Feb. 17th, 2004 09:25 pmSuch a close race!
I am consistently impressed with Edwards' showings. I have to admit, when I heard of those polls on Sunday, I was getting pretty downtrodden. Then yesterday I regained my faith in Edwards. And yes, faith is really what it is. It's a deep-down, almost fluttery type of feeling.
The fact that the race was too close to call at various points gives me lots of hope.
I wish Democrats would pay attention to the fact that Edwards is a magnet for moderates. 10% of the voters in today's primary were Republicans, and the majority of them voted for Edwards. He fared well among independents, too.
To put it another way: Kerry did well among Democrats. However, he managed to lose 4 out of every 10 of those voters.
