Jan. 16th, 2004 12:22 pmI've been going through withdrawal. RCT withdrawal, that is.
I haven't played since Monday. I'm to the penultimate scenario called "Rainbow Valley". This is commonly acknowledged on hint and tip websites as the most challenging scenario in the original RCT game. You can't cull any trees or do any landscaping--you have to build your coasters into the land.
I don't know how to build coasters from scratch. I like being lazy and using the designs the game already has. So, I left this scenario till the end. Now I'm stuck with it.
I really want to get past this scenario so that I can get to the "Mega Park", which I can only imagine is a lot of real estate with no real objective (I know there's no objective). The Mega Park is a reward for your previous successes. But I can't get there! *sigh*
I've been trying to gear up for it; I've attempted to build a wooden roller coaster. It was sad, though. It didn't generate much excitement or intensity. It wouldn't even make any of the sims sick.
If anyone has any hints or tips (I wasn't able to find any real ideas online), I'd appreciate it. :) At my current rate, I might not get to the Mega Park until around my birthday!
