A big part of Obama's appeal to me is that he seems soft-spoken and thoughtful (without being dull like Dore and Kerry). Of course, people have said Cheney uses that demeanor to make people think he's smarter than he is, but Obama actually has nuanced positions.
I don't blame Wright for saying what he thinks, and I don't know that he's necessarily wrong, but I can't say that I'm happy with the Detroit NAACP for hosting him now. That's not advancing anyone but the Republican party.
