Glory's good, but I think I'm okay with once every five years or so.
Most of the movies I watch repeatedly are more because they're fun (Star Wars, Batman, assorted comedies) than because they're good (which "timeless" seems to say). The movie for me that I think best fits what you're getting at is Pleasantville. Edward Scissorhands or Se7en might qualify, too.
Agreed with the fun vs timeless thing. For timeless stuff that I can watch all the time.. *ponder* Seven Samurai. Grand Illusion. Les Enfants du Paradis.
None of those are particularly uplifting. For funny stuff (not so much timeless, but things that I'll just throw on because they make me smile and I want to burn two hours) ... Princess Bride. Willow. Real Genius. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Dazed and Confused.
Princess Bride. What's not to love? Every single scene is perfect and it never gets dated.
"I don't think that word means what you think it means" and "as you like" are in every-day rotation in our house. The children, when they see us kissing, will either say "yuck" or "too blave." "Hello, my name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." This movie has something for EVERYONE.
