I was sitting here the other day while my dad was watching PBS. The topic was politics. One of the commentators was comparing and contrasting the various Democratic frontrunners, but when she got to Edwards she said, "He's gonna blow the place apart."

Her words struck me. Those are words about explosions, terrorism. The connotations were significant, and I couldn't believe that she said them.

There are two diaries at DailyKos about the media blackout of Edwards. It's significant. The power players fear him.

After chatting with Sean Kosofsky recently, I'm an Edwards convert. I need to do more research, but I think he's the best one of the lot.

I don't typically get involved in politics discussions because I think they're all going to find a way to fuck me over. I just vote Democrat with the hope that conditions will be more like they were when I was growing up. But I really appreciated reading those articles. Your journal is full of such nifty links. When the year began, no impartial observer would have discounted John Edwards' chances
That's hardly true. I'm constantly surprised at how seriously Edwards is taken as a candidate, and at the beginning of last year he hadn't really started the poverty blitz that's given him reason to stand out. And if he isn't mentioned as much as Obama, part of that is that's he escaping the inexperience complaints that ought to be hitting them equally.
