I've been looking forward to J. & S.'s party for the last two months. But the weather has conspired to keep me home this New Year's.

We're due to get about an inch of snow this afternoon, then 4-8 inches this evening. Plus more tomorrow! Woohoo.

I was thinking about going to J and S's, too. But I'm also nervous about the weather going out to that neck of the woods.

So now I'm trying to decide between a shopping trip to gear up and stay in, or taking myself downtown to go dancing b/c that's not quite so much of a difficult drive.

I'm resigning myself to staying home. Better safe than sorry. (I can't trust my car in inclement weather anywhere.)

On the plus side, today is my parents' anniversary, so I will be able to spend time with them and ring in the new year together.

I miss snow - not so much the shoveling or driving in it, but watching it come down and transform the landscape.

That's too bad. I'm going. But we're leaving early too because James is headed off to Ferndale. Not too concerned about the snow although getting out in the afternoon tomorrow might be a bit tricksy. Planning on some sledding this snowfall.
