Stronger warning of mental issues from flu drug: FDA panel: Label should mention patients' death was result of odd behavior

Nearly 600 cases of psychiatric problems have been reported in Tamiflu patients, with 75 percent of them coming from Japan. Five children there have died after "falling from windows or balconies or running into traffic," according to FDA.

One of the main reasons LSD was criminalized in the US was because of sensationalized reports of people walking off balconies while under the influence.

Rumsfeld's Tamiflu still have nothing on Rumsfeld's Aspartame. We're gonna need a lot more balconies.

I shouldn't be surprised that Rumsfeld has his thumb in this pie as well.

Oh, you didn't know about that? Rumsfeld used to be the Chairman of Gilead, and still holds an undisclosed amount of stock in the company. Tamiflu is marketed and produced by Roche, but developed and owned by Gilead.

In the wake of the bird flu scare of 2005, where Bush told us that 2 million Americans could be killed by it, the US gov't bought 20 million doses of Tamiflu, at $100 a dose. That's $2 billion, for a worthless drug that makes some people go crazy. What's Rumsfeld's stake in that? We'll never know.

But it doesn't matter, because Rumsfeld recuses himself from any political decisions that conflict with his personal interests, as do all of our leaders, right?
