Only one hobbie

I know it's quite lame, but I have only one hobby: the Internet. All of my other regular activities are work-oriented. Some would say that they have drugs to "treat" such a condition, but I'd rather not get addicted to them.

When I have time/money for them: Beading, knitting, board games with friends, RPG console games (Playstation, etc.), reading, museums, etc.

Reading tends to be the one that gets the most attention, since it can be done in fits and spurts and the library provides all the materials I can handle for free.

My hobbies rotate, evolve and then devolve. I'm a level one taylor with unfinished projects. I have a cross-stitch wolf that has sat gathering dust for close to 10 years. Games have always been a hobby. Recently re-entered the world of role-playing.

Reading is more a devotion than a hobby. Continuing education is also a hobby, in whatever forms make themselves available.

I'd say learning home repair is a hobby as well. I suck at it, but that rarely stops me from trying.

What is scrapbooking?

I am no good at simple answers, I fear.

Magic cards, this LJ thing, numerous board games, role playing games, video games (but not much these days, too busy), studying myself and others...

...hmm I don't know if martial arts should be considered a hobby, ut its turned into that I think. I used to practice between 5-8 hours a day, but now it's maybe 2/week.

And I don't know, is prayer a hobby? Meditation? Ritual? I think of them as hobbies...usually.

Is it a hoby even if you get paid for doing something?

Hm, I'm having a hard time thinking of how to explain it. This might help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrapbooking

So do you sort of arrange things in a way that fits the mood of the experience that you are recording? The wiki makes it seem like you sort of make collages about different times and events in your life. Is that right?

And as a hobby does it take up much time?

I guess it depends on the context. If you get paid regularly, I'd say that's a living.

It has been far too long since I last roleplayed.

You should run a one-shot. :)

The Internet is not a hobby. It is an indenture adventure.

If you were closer, I would so start a knitting corner with you. :)

I've wanted to learn how to sew for some time now. I'm so nondomestic.

My sister-in-law scrapbooks. She takes a ridiculous amount of pictures (but she does have three young kids). I thought (hoping she and I could find something in common) that scrapbooking and rubber stamping would have a good deal of crossover, but there isn't that much.

No; all year.

I belong to a costuming guild (amateur hobbyists), and there are costume contests to compete in all year.

Wines: I make fruit wines and meads, sometimes using fruit and flowers grown in my own yard.
