um, I thought it was a given that ingesting large amounts of phosphoric acid would leach calcium from your body in order to neutralize it. Makes soluble CaPO4 to excrete all the damn H2PO4. Did somebody just notice this? I could have had a PhD already had I but known this was a mystery.
But hey! bone loss=weight loss! so it works after all :) Personally, carbonation gives me gas pains and I can actually hear my teeth dissolving like pop rocks so I've quit as of years and years ago. Well, there has been the occasional redbull... but only when absolutely necessary. I get most of my caffiene from tea.
