Watching Lamont debate Lieberman would be like watching the New York Yankees play the Lakewood Blue Claws. Why bother? You know the Yankees are going to pound the Blue Claws into small bits of red jelly that only vaguely resemble creatures that used to once be human.

If any elected official not currently in the offices of president and vice president defines the term "dangerous," it's Joe Lieberman.

I agree. Lieberman should just join the Republican party and quit pretending.

I saw the debate and I thought that both did equally well. Lieberman won points when he pointed out that the League of Conservation Voters, The Human Rights Campaign and Planned Parenthood have all endorsed him.

On one issue (The War) he has strayed the mainstream thinking of the party. I don't get how ONE issue can make or break a person's "Democraticness".

The voters are going to see this and think with their noggin and Lamont will never get above 40% because he doesn't carry the mainstream Democratic party in Connecticut. (Woman, Labor, Environmentalists among other things)

Personally, I thought that Lieberman's arrogance and hostility would do more to turn voters away from him.

I'm curious as to whether those endorsements would remain with Mr. Lieberman if and when he becomes an independent.

of course it would stay with him, because he is an x amount of years incumbent who would likely win if he ran under the independent ticket. Why would any of these groups sway from a winner? But lets not kid ourselves, he is probably going to win the Democratic ticket.

Actually, at this stage in the game, I think it's an open question.
