Blogging Against Racism Week

I've seen several of my friends post along BARW lines this week, and I've been meaning to make at least one post, but I've been busy and tired and it's been one of those things I keep putting off. Not that I don't think it's important, but largely because I post about race a lot anyway.

I want to congratulate quility and rikhei on their amazing accomplishments lately! I love it when my friends succeed in life.

Several of my friends have already seen Stardust and I've only heard good reviews so far. One of my officemates saw it and has been raving to everyone who will listen. "It's a Princess Bride type of movie, it's a lot of fun," he's said. Word of mouth is priceless as far as promotion goes, and if this movie continues to get the type of word of mouth I've witnessed so far, it should do quite of bit of business during its main run. I hope to see it this weekend with netmouse & friends.

I want to thank all of my LJ friends who've blogged about racism this week. It's been an interesting read. I'll probably thread through your friendslists as well to see what all is floating out there.

sarahmichigan has been writing about this quite a bit all week, and I've enjoyed and appreciated the discussions that she's generated.
