Long day

Went back to work today for a five-week project (if I make the cut).

One of the first things that happened to me today: I lost my favorite hat.

One of the last things: my former editor, at tonight's poetry meeting, accepted "Aftermath" for Third Wednesday.

Overall, leaning toward the good.

SCR

The Shit Creek Review releases its thirteenth issue. I am fortunate enough to have one of my poems, "Chance," included alongside such high-quality work.

twenty20 Journal & The Flea

twenty20 Journal has released its second issue. My short poem "Operandi" features there. (twenty20 accepts work 20 words or fewer. One's bio also has to fit within those bounds. If you can accomplish both, I would recommend submitting. The editor is hands-on & very responsive.)

The Flea, back from a near-year hiatus, publishes my piece "Azrael" in its twelfth broadsheet. The journal showcases formal poetry & is presented in a quirky, antiquated style.

PSH

Poetry Super Highway showcases two of my poems, "Road Trip Desert" & "Dreaming the Angel", as part of its weekly feature spotlighting the work of two poets. I share the stage with Howie Good (an incredibly talented author).

PSH has been around since 1997. I am honored to be part of its tradition.

qpm

quantum poetry magazine, a new endeavor, publishes my piece "One-Sixth".

The editor responded the same day with not just an acceptance but also with the piece already published! That was a pleasant surprise.

MC & MR

Mezzo Cammin, a journal devoted to formal poetry by women, has accepted three of my poems ("Season's Arc", "Twelve Days [or, To January 6th]" & "Sole Instinct") for two of its upcoming issues, with a request for another piece.

The Mayo Review also has extended an honor, accepting "Broken" for the Spring 2010 issue, scheduled for release in April.

Announcement

I received an email from one of my co-editors today. If it weren't for his information, I never would have known that Danse Macabre nominated one of my poems ("Sun of the Demiurge") for the 2010 Pushcart Prize.

My chances of being selected by the judges--whomever they may be--just doubled.

The Ambassador Poetry Project has released its second issue. The magazine, designed to showcase poetry from Michigan and Ontario, is in its first year and already has undergone significant visual upgrades. You should take a peek.

While there, you may encounter my two poems "Cusp" and "What Injury Can Run Its Course".

OR

Ouroboros Review's fourth issue is available today. The publication is slick, very professional. The quality of the features astonishes me and humbles me to have one of my pieces ("The Great Escape") included in the bunch.
