By the way, pancake derives from placenta, which in Latin means 'cake'. This puts a new spin on the colloquialism "a bun in the oven".

Flapjacks are a specific non-pancake thing to me -

I will never think of flapjacks in the same way.

I like muesli (though that's the Australian term); I wonder what those Britannic flapjacks taste like, then. Are they served warm?

Preferably, yes, though you can eat them cold. They sort of taste like a honey muesli cake, ish, sort of.
