This fills in the story a bit more. Another article said that the initial information in '55 said the boy had a scar under his chin, and this also pans out.

But... there are BABY pictures of John Barnes before he was 3 years old.

Arrggh. This is a scam. The guy had a different father than his siblings and that was the mother's deep dark (everyday commonplace) secret.

You can't be someone else's missing toddler if you have baby pictures of you with your "kidnappers."

This went from "romantic and mysterious" to "sordid and sad" in no time flat. :-(

One of the articles I read said that the family that raised him didn't have any pictures of him before two years old. Three years old or older doesn't disprove anything.
