So I was away from LJ for the whole weekend and missed the brouhaha about Frienditto. Can someone fill me in?

Read this. And then imagine how the LJ rumor mill turned the concept of the service into a panic -- it rapidly became a meme, people asking if their friends were using Frienditto. In part, it's fuelled by the service's association with the LJ-Drama crowd.

mine came from someone on my friends list using the service and doing EXACTLY what people feared. she admitted she archived a bunch of my (and other friends) friends only posts.
99% of the time frienditto is no big deal, but god knows one stupid thing happens and people shit their pants.
