I just heard on the local (Detroit) news that some group will sue to have Eminem's new album blocked from being sold because of lyrics that demean black women.

Hello? This is America. That is censorship. We went through this in the '80s and '90s. . . do we really need to beat this horse again?

I just posted in my own LJ yesterday similar sentiments over the war on religious censorship between the Christian right and the Athiest left. If we need to censor what we do not agree with, then the fascists truly have won...
I find it sickening that the intolerance of our differences has grown worse instead of better in the past few years. These kinds of Separatist battles dividing our country only make it easier to be manipulated by opportunist regimists in the corporate/government sector.
