Do you feed your lawn friends (squirrels, rabbits, and/or birds)? And, if so, what kind of friends?

I do indeedy! In fact, I need to go buy more fud for them.

Yes. The stone rabbit doesn't eat much, and he's more of a porch friend. But the birds get the leftover cockatiel food, and the squirrels and rabbits get things sometimes, too.

Yes. Blade says our back yard looks like something out of Snow White.

Absolutely. I have photographs. :)

What do you feed?

Stylized bird feeders?

[identity profile] rmeidaking.livejournal.com 2008-04-01 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. We have a wide variety of birds and as many as a dozen squirrels visiting the feeders. I will start bringing them in at night soon, because I don't want to encourage the raccoons.

Mr. Chubbles the squirrel (I actually think they're a gang of clone squirrels) and birds. I have a well-stocked bird feeder that attracts a variety of feathered friends.

We recently got a hummingbird feeder but so far we haven't seen any hummingbirds. :(

God, no! A crazy neighbor used to feed the tree rats. Can't imagine why. Another neighbor fed a ferral cat that eventually got hit by a car and went under my porch to die. Better than feeding the coyote population, I guess.

Well the possums make good use of our compost pile, so much that no fruit/veg scraps that go into the pile stay there to turn into compost.

We have both brush-tails and ring-tails

I have seen an echidna cross the road just down from my house, but it dosen't live here (they eat ants btw)

Birds we have aplenty, Crimson Rosellas, King Parrots, Rainbow Lorikeets, Cockatoo's, Owls (Morepork's that sit on our ankhtenna), Tawny Frogmouths, also Kookaburras

whew is that enuf, or would you like more ;)
