I've got friends with that scenario. The Mom is mixed race but looks like a light-skinned black, the Dad's a pink Norwegian. One of their daughters looks like a light-skinned black like their mother, one of them looks more pink like her father (except for startlingly kinky brown hair.)

FWIW, my sister-in-law is Chinese-American and her son looks Chinese while her daughter doesn't particularly. My in-laws used to nanny the kids and people used to ask my (pink-skinned) in-laws if the Asian boy was adopted. Like Chinese boys get adopted to the U.S.?

More and more this is just what the world looks like. As you said, beautiful.
