The fact that an American man would say this on American television demonstrates how much women's rights in this country are under attack. I'm not talking solely about the Middle East in general or Iraq in particular.

Also keep in mind that Iraqi women had more rights under Saddam Hussein than what this new "democratic" constitution would provide.
