Well, I try not to judge people. I can see why you felt that way, but maybe I had a different take on her as I'd talked to her on the phone before. I think she's always that effervescent (or whatever word you want to use).

She's an artist. (I think dionysus1999 would say she's an Artist.) *shrug* Personally, I just find it fun to talk to someone who is excited about poetry, which she clearly is.
